I'm Dr. Sheeler. At TriVita, our founder, Michael Ellison, developed the 10 Essentials for Health and Wellness to incorporate into everything we do. Check them out below:

#1 Breathe Deeply to open all your airways and bring in vital oxygen, the foundation of our ability to produce energy.

#2 Drink Water - Dehydration leads to fatigue, a lowered ability to clear toxins from the body and problems such as headaches and dizziness. If your urine is dark yellow instead of a light clear yellow, you probably need more water.

#3 Sleep Peacefully - Deep, restorative sleep: 7-8 hours for an adult and 9.5 hours for teenagers and younger children can make a big difference in your health and longevity.

#4 Eat Nutritiously - What we eat defines the makeup of our cells. Eating healthy whole food with lots of vegetables and fruits can help ward off many different ailments.

#5 Enjoy Activity - Many of the health benefits derived from exercise only require that you be physically active rather than just sitting.

#6 Give and Receive Love - Community and connection are key elements in our lives and our health. Without them we become isolated and lose our support network.

#7 Be Forgiving - Holding onto past hurts and resentments only hurts you. You can forgive a person without forgiving the behavior or re-establishing a harmful relationship.

#8 Practice Gratitude for the large and small things in your life to fill your days with peace and harmony.

#9 Develop Acceptance - Some things are worth struggling against; others are not. Work to figure out the difference and channel your energy positively.

#10 Develop a Relationship with God - Finding a deeper connection to the realm of spirit helps you to live a richer and more fulfilling life.
